Gefitinib Side Effects Report #4578488-5
Gefitinib side effect was reported by a Health Professional from on Feb 02, 2005. Female patient, weighting 171.5 lb, was diagnosed with glioblastoma multiforme and was treated with Gefitinib. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: dehydration, diarrhoea, hyperglycaemia, hyponatraemia, lethargy, leukopenia, mucosal inflammation, pneumonia , vaginal lesion. Gefitinib dosage: 500 MG PO QD. During the same period patient was treated with RAPAMUNE, DECADRON, MAGIC MOUTH WASH WITH LIDOCAINE, PEPCID, AMOXICILLIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: convulsion, fall , hemiparesis, hypokalaemia, laboratory test abnormal, lethargy, speech disorder. Gefitinib dosage: 1500 MG PO, QD. During the same period patient was treated with RAPAMUNE, AVALIDE, DECADRON, KEPPRA, PEPCID, LOVENOX, MAGIC MOUTHWASH, PHENERGAN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: dehydration, hyponatraemia, intestinal obstruction, lethargy, oral candidiasis. Gefitinib dosage: 250 MG DAILY PO. During the same period patient was treated with FLUOROURACIL, LEUCOVORIN, ORAMORPH, MORPHINE SULPHATE, IBUPROFEN, DIAMORPHINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: activities of daily living impaired, aphagia, dehydration, depressed level of consciousness, diarrhoea, hyponatraemia, lethargy, leukopenia, mucosal inflammation. Gefitinib dosage: 500 MG QD PO. During the same period patient was treated with RAPAMUNE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
