Gefitinib and diffuse alveolar damage Patient Reports February 12, 2012



Gefitinib Side Effects Report #4591428-8
Gefitinib side effect was reported by a Physician from on Feb 04, 2005. Male patient, 58 years of age, weighting 215.0 lb, was diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer and was treated with Gefitinib. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: diffuse alveolar damage, dyspnoea, hypoxia, lower respiratory tract infection, pleuritic pain, pneumonia What is  pneumonia, productive cough, respiratory failure. Gefitinib dosage: 250 MG QD PO. During the same period patient was treated with OMEPRAZOLE, PREDNISOLONE, FLUOXETINE, DIFFLAM, GABAPENTIN, ADCAL, FLUTICASONE PROPIONATE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 12/28/2004.

Gefitinib dosage: 250 MG QD PO. During the same period patient was treated with OMEPRAZOLE, PREDNISOLONE, FLUOXETINE, DIFFLAM, GABAPENTIN, ADCAL, FLUTICASONE PROPIONATE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 12/28/2004.
