Gefitinib side effect was reported by a Physician from on Feb 02, 2005. Female patient, 56 years of age, weighting 171.5 lb, was diagnosed with glioma, recurrent cancer, malignant melanoma and was treated with Gefitinib. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anaemia, blood osmolarity decreased, bone lesion, condition aggravated, dehydration, depressed level of consciousness, diabetes mellitus, diarrhoea, eating disorder . Gefitinib dosage: 500 MG QD PO. During the same period patient was treated with RAPAMUNE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: bedridden, brain oedema, depressed level of consciousness, epistaxis, gingival bleeding, haematochezia, haematuria, haemorrhage, malignant neoplasm progression. Gefitinib dosage: 500 MG PO, QD. During the same period patient was treated with RAPAMUNE. Patient died on 12/12/2004.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: activities of daily living impaired, aphagia, dehydration, depressed level of consciousness, diarrhoea, hyponatraemia, lethargy, leukopenia, mucosal inflammation. Gefitinib dosage: 500 MG QD PO. During the same period patient was treated with RAPAMUNE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
