Gefitinib side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED STATES on Aug 31, 2005. Male patient, 49 years of age, weighting 160.9 lb, was diagnosed with glioblastoma multiforme and was treated with Gefitinib. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: brain oedema, brain scan abnormal, convulsion, hemiparesis. Gefitinib dosage: 250 MG PO WEEKLY. During the same period patient was treated with RAD, KEPPRA, ADVIL, TETRACYCLINE, COLACE, BENADRYL, CALCITRIOL, CELEBREX. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: bedridden, brain oedema, depressed level of consciousness, epistaxis, gingival bleeding, haematochezia, haematuria, haemorrhage, malignant neoplasm progression. Gefitinib dosage: 500 MG PO, QD. During the same period patient was treated with RAPAMUNE. Patient died on 12/12/2004.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: brain oedema, computerised tomogram abnormal, electroencephalogram abnormal, facial palsy, fatigue, grand mal convulsion, infarction, malignant neoplasm progression, nervous system disorder. Gefitinib dosage: 750 MG DAILY PO. During the same period patient was treated with RAPAMUNE, SYNTHROID, RITALIN, COREG, CALTRATE, TRICOR, DECADRON, RANITIDINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
