Gatifloxacin Side Effects Report #4727636-2
Gatifloxacin side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on July 27, 2005. Male patient, 51 years of age, was diagnosed with sinusitis  and was treated with Gatifloxacin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood creatinine increased, diarrhoea, hyperglycaemia, nausea . Gatifloxacin dosage: 400 MG PO QD. During the same period patient was treated with NPH INSULIN, CARVEDILOL, FUROSEMIDE, LISINOPRIL, METFORMIN, OMEPRAZOLE, SIMVASTATIN, SPIRONOLACTONE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain , blood amylase increased, blood creatinine increased, blood potassium, blood sodium decreased, blood urea, confusional state, dyspnoea, hyperglycaemia. Gatifloxacin dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with VERAPAMIL, DYAZIDE, WARFARIN, TAMOXIFEN, DIMENHYDRINATE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 09/30/2003.
