Funguard side effect was reported by a Physician from JAPAN on Aug 28, 2006. Male patient, 65 years of age, weighting 132.3 lb, was diagnosed with systemic candida and was treated with Funguard. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood alkaline phosphatase increased, gamma-glutamyltransferase increased. Funguard dosage: 150 MG, UID/QD, IV DRIP. During the same period patient was treated with MEROPEN, GLOVENIN, STRONGER NEO MINOPHAGEN C. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acute respiratory distress syndrome, alanine aminotransferase increased, aspartate aminotransferase increased, blood alkaline phosphatase increased, catheter related infection, gamma-glutamyltransferase increased, hepatic function abnormal. Funguard dosage: 3 MG/KG, UID/QD, IV DRIP. During the same period patient was treated with VANCOMYCIN, NEUTROGIN, PRODIFECTION, VFEND, MINOCYCLINE, MEROPEN, AMIKACIN SULPHATE. Patient died on 07/19/2007.

During the same period patient was treated with BACTRAMIN, BENAMBAX, TIENAM, DALACIN, FOSCAVIR, OXYCONTIN. Patient died on 11/03/2005.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: alanine aminotransferase increased, blood alkaline phosphatase increased, enterocolitis, febrile neutropenia, nausea , stomatitis. Funguard dosage: 50 MG, UID/QD, IV DRIP, 150 MG, UID/QD, IV DRIP, 50 MG, UID/QD, IV DRIP. During the same period patient was treated with CYCLOPHOSPHAMIDE, CONTOMIN, MAXIPIME, EXACIN, METHOTREXATE, PROGRAF. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
