Fosphenytoin side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on Jan 31, 2006. Male patient, 17 years of age, was diagnosed with complex partial seizures, convulsion prophylaxis, ill-defined disorder and was treated with Fosphenytoin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: aggression, blood bicarbonate decreased, blood glucose increased, blood potassium increased, disorientation, haemodialysis, hyperphosphataemia, kidney transplant rejection. Fosphenytoin dosage: 1000 MG (1 IN 1 HR), INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with TACROLIMUS. Patient recovered.

Male patient, 17 years of age, weighting 162.0 lb, was diagnosed with complex partial seizures, convulsion prophylaxis, ill-defined disorder and was treated with Fosphenytoin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood calcium decreased, calcium phosphate product increased, haemodialysis, hyperphosphataemia. Fosphenytoin dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with TACROLIMUS, MYCOPHENOLATE MOFETIL, PREDNISONE, AMLODIPINE, BACTRIM, GANCICLOVIR, CALCIUM CARBONATE. Patient recovered.
