Fosphenytoin Side Effects Report #5725444-7
Fosphenytoin side effect was reported by a Health Professional from FRANCE on Apr 21, 2008. Female patient, weighting 22.05 lb, was diagnosed with status epilepticus and was treated with Fosphenytoin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cardiac arrest , hepatic failure. Fosphenytoin dosage: DAILY DOSE:15MG/KG. During the same period patient was treated with DIAZEPAM, PHENOBARBITAL, CLONAZEPAM, THIOPENTAL. Patient died.

Female patient, weighting 24.25 lb, was diagnosed with ill-defined disorder and was treated with Fosphenytoin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: bradycardia, cardiac arrest , incorrect dose administered. Fosphenytoin dosage: 2000 MG (1 TOTAL). Patient died.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: bradycardia, cardiac arrest . Fosphenytoin dosage: 1500 MG PE IN 100 ML NS ONE-TIME IV DRIP. Patient recovered.

Fosphenytoin side effect was reported by a Physician from SWEDEN on Dec 06, 2005. Male patient, weighting 8.38 lb, was diagnosed with convulsion and was treated with Fosphenytoin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: accidental overdose, anoxia, aspiration, bradycardia neonatal, cardiac arrest , cardiac disorder, condition aggravated, convulsion neonatal, hyperaemia. Fosphenytoin dosage: 480 MG (30MG IN 5 MINUTES THEN 450MG IN 5 HOURS), INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with PHENOBARBITAL, PYRIDOXINE. Patient died on 12/25/2004.
