Fosphenytoin side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Mar 13, 2009. Male patient, 81 years of age, weighting 220.0 lb, was diagnosed with convulsion prophylaxis and was treated with Fosphenytoin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: atrioventricular block complete, hypotension, nodal rhythm. Fosphenytoin dosage: unknown. Patient recovered.

Fosphenytoin side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on July 18, 2005. Male patient, 50 years of age, was diagnosed with convulsion and was treated with Fosphenytoin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anoxic encephalopathy, atrioventricular block complete, atrioventricular block second degree, blood albumin decreased, circulatory collapse, loss of consciousness. Fosphenytoin dosage: 100MG IV Q8H. Patient died on 04/12/2005.
