Foscavir side effect was reported by a Health Professional from JAPAN on Aug 07, 2008. Male patient, 49 years of age, was diagnosed with encephalitis cytomegalovirus, hiv infection
, oral candidiasis and was treated with Foscavir. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acute respiratory failure, c-reactive protein increased, cerebral toxoplasmosis, disseminated intravascular coagulation, eating disorder , encephalitis , hypoalbuminaemia, loss of consciousness, pancytopenia. Foscavir dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with COMBIVIR, KALETRA, VALGANCICLOVIR, EPZICOM, FUNGIZONE. Patient was hospitalized.
