Foscavir side effect was reported by a Health Professional from JAPAN on Aug 07, 2008. Male patient, 49 years of age, was diagnosed with encephalitis cytomegalovirus, hiv infection What is  hiv infection, oral candidiasis and was treated with Foscavir. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acute respiratory failure, c-reactive protein increased, cerebral toxoplasmosis, disseminated intravascular coagulation, eating disorder What is  eating disorder, encephalitis What is  encephalitis, hypoalbuminaemia, loss of consciousness, pancytopenia. Foscavir dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with COMBIVIR, KALETRA, VALGANCICLOVIR, EPZICOM, FUNGIZONE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 04/14/2007.
