Fortamet side effect was reported by a Health Professional from NETHERLANDS on Aug 06, 2008. Male patient, 72 years of age, was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus and was treated with Fortamet. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: lactic acidosis, renal failure. Fortamet dosage: 1000 MG, TID. During the same period patient was treated with TOLBUTAMIDE, SIMVASTATIN, HYDROCHLOROTHIAZIDE, ENALAPRIL MALEATE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
