Fortamet side effect was reported by a Health Professional from UNITED STATES on Dec 17, 2007. Female patient, 78 years of age, was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus and was treated with Fortamet. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anion gap increased, dialysis What is  dialysis, lactic acidosis, metabolic acidosis, renal injury. Fortamet dosage: 1500 MG, BID. During the same period patient was treated with GLYBURIDE, ROFECOXIB, FUROSEMIDE, LEVOTHYROXINE, PREDNISONE, AZATHIOPRINE, PROPRANOLOL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: haemodialysis, lactic acidosis, metabolic acidosis, renal impairment, renal injury. Fortamet dosage: 500 MG, BID. During the same period patient was treated with LISINOPRIL, IBUPROFEN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
