Fortamet side effect was reported by a Health Professional from PORTUGAL on June 28, 2008. Female patient, 77 years of age, was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus, hypertension and was treated with Fortamet. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain What is  abdominal pain, blood creatinine increased, blood urea increased, hyperkalaemia, lactic acidosis, leukocytosis, psychomotor hyperactivity, vomiting. Fortamet dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with PERINDOPRIL ERBUMINE, ASPIRIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 53 years of age, weighting 198.0 lb, was diagnosed with diabetes mellitus inadequate control and was treated with Fortamet. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain What is  abdominal pain, alopecia, diarrhoea, hypoglycaemia, palpitations. Fortamet dosage: 1000 MG TWICE DAILY PO. During the same period patient was treated with ACTOS, AVANDIA. Patient recovered.
