Fluvoxamine side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from on Apr 14, 2005. Male patient, 57 years of age, was diagnosed with major depression, irritability and was treated with Fluvoxamine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: neuroleptic malignant syndrome, pneumonia , respiratory failure. Fluvoxamine dosage: DAILY DOSE: 150 MILLIGRAM(S). During the same period patient was treated with FLUVOXAMINE MALEATE, FLUVOXAMINE MALEATE, QUETIAPINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

During the same period patient was treated with METOCLOPRAMIDE, PROPERICIAZINE, PROMETHAZINE, LEVOMEPROMAZINE MALEATE, LEVOMEPROMAZINE MALEATE, SULPIRIDE, BROTIZORAM. Patient died.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: aggression, body temperature increased, completed suicide, conjunctival hyperaemia, hepatic steatosis, intentional misuse, neuroleptic malignant syndrome, pulmonary congestion. Fluvoxamine dosage: DAILY DOSE: 250 MILLIGRAM(S), FREQUENCY: ONCE. During the same period patient was treated with METOCLOPRAMIDE, PROPERICIAZINE, PROMETHAZINE, LEVOMEPROMAZINE MALEATE, LEVOMEPROMAZINE MALEATE, SULPIRIDE, BROTIZORAM. Patient died.

Fluvoxamine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with CLOMIPRAMINE, LITHIUM CARBONATE, LEVOMEPROMAZINE. Patient died.
