Fluphenazine side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Aug 11, 2008. Male patient, 54 years of age, weighting 194.0 lb, was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder, surgery  and was treated with Fluphenazine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: neuroleptic malignant syndrome, renal failure acute, renal tubular necrosis. Fluphenazine dosage: 125 MG OTHER IM. During the same period patient was treated with CLOZAPINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Male patient, 57 years of age, was diagnosed with bipolar disorder  and was treated with Fluphenazine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood amylase increased, cellulitis , fluid intake reduced, lipase increased, neuroleptic malignant syndrome, oral intake reduced, pneumonia aspiration, respiratory distress. Fluphenazine dosage: 20 MG DAILY. During the same period patient was treated with DIVALPROEX, OLANZAPINE, BENZTROPINE MESYLATE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
