Flucytosine side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Nov 19, 2008. Male patient, 60 years of age, weighting 123.5 lb, was diagnosed with meningitis
and was treated with Flucytosine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: white blood cell count decreased. Flucytosine dosage: 1500 MG PO Q 6 HOURS. During the same period patient was treated with AMBISOME, ACYCLOVIR, ZANTAC, HEPARIN, INSULIN, FENTANYL. Patient recovered.
