Flucytosine side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from AUSTRALIA on Apr 28, 2008. Female patient, 68 years of age, was diagnosed with cryptococcosis and was treated with Flucytosine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: atrial fibrillation What is  atrial fibrillation, blood creatinine increased, cardiac arrest What is  cardiac arrest, cardio-respiratory arrest, electrocardiogram qt prolonged, electromechanical dissociation, grand mal convulsion, hypokalaemia, hypomagnesaemia. Flucytosine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with AMPHOTERICIN B, LIPOSOMAL AMPHOTERICIN, FLUCONAZOLE, INDAPAMIDE, METOPROLOL TARTRATE, ASPIRIN. Patient died.
