Fazaclo and acute respiratory distress syndrome Patient Reports February 13, 2012

Fazaclo Side Effects Report #5268665-2
Fazaclo side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Mar 15, 2007. Male patient, weighting 282.2 lb, was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder and was treated with Fazaclo. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acute respiratory distress syndrome, cardiac enzymes increased, heart rate increased, hypoxia, pneumonia aspiration, pneumonia staphylococcal, sedation, sepsis , troponin i increased. Fazaclo dosage: 400 MG -TITRATED DOSE DAILY PO. During the same period patient was treated with ZIPRASIDONE, DEPAKOTE ER, ATROPINE, DOCUSATE, TOLNAFTATE CREAM, IBUPROFEN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Fazaclo side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on Dec 15, 2008. Male patient, 58 years of age, weighting 140.0 lb, was treated with Fazaclo. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acute respiratory distress syndrome, acute respiratory failure, pneumonia aspiration. Fazaclo dosage: 150 MG BID PO. During the same period patient was treated with ROCEPHIN IM, CLINDAMYCIN, AUGMENTIN, ZITHROMYCIN, FLOMAX, OXCARBAZEPINE, FLUCPHENAZINE PRN, SIMVASTATIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 10/13/2008.
