Famciclovir side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on Jan 26, 2009. Male patient, 69 years of age, was diagnosed with herpes zoster, gastrooesophageal reflux disease and was treated with Famciclovir. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: alanine aminotransferase increased, aspartate aminotransferase increased, bilirubin conjugated increased, blood alkaline phosphatase increased, blood bilirubin increased, blood bilirubin unconjugated increased, chest discomfort, cholelithiasis, chromaturia. Famciclovir dosage: 500 MG, TID. During the same period patient was treated with PRILOSEC, LIPITOR, METOPROLOL SUCCINATE, ASPIRIN. Patient recovered.

Famciclovir side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Sept 04, 2008. Male patient, 67 years of age, was diagnosed with herpes zoster and was treated with Famciclovir. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood bilirubin increased, hepatic enzyme increased, jaundice What is  jaundice, liver function test abnormal, ocular icterus. Famciclovir dosage: 500 MG TID PO. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
