Female patient, 39 years of age, was diagnosed with sickle cell anaemia and was treated with Exjade. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal distension, abdominal pain lower, alanine aminotransferase increased, ammonia increased, ascites, aspartate aminotransferase increased, asthenia, back pain , blood bilirubin increased. Exjade dosage: 500 MG, QD. During the same period patient was treated with FOLIC ACID, HYDROCHLOROTHIAZIDE, PHENERGAN, MACRODANTIN, AMITRIPTYLINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.
