Etodolac and respiratory arrest Patient Reports February 13, 2012

Etodolac Side Effects Report #5162270-4
Etodolac side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED STATES on Nov 13, 2006. Male patient, 63 years of age, was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis  and was treated with Etodolac. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: asthenia, asthma , dizziness , emphysema, hypotension, pallor, respiratory arrest. Etodolac dosage: 300 MG 3X PER 1 DAY, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with VASOTEC, ELDEPRYL, SINEMET, PREDNISONE, NITROSTAT, METHOTREXATE, TRAZODONE. Patient died on 09/13/2000.

Etodolac dosage: 300 MG 3X PER 1 DAY, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with VASOTEC. Patient died on 09/13/2000.

Male patient, 78 years of age, was diagnosed with pain , insomnia and was treated with Etodolac. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood lactate dehydrogenase increased, cardiac arrest , inflammation, interstitial lung disease, productive cough, respiratory arrest, restlessness, stridor, vomiting. Etodolac dosage: 400 MG 1X PER 1 DAY ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with ETIZOLAM, FAMOTIDINE, AMLODIPINE BESYLATE, ASPIRIN, MAGNESIUM OXIDE, TAMSULOSIN HYDROCHLORIDE, PANTETHINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.
