Ethambutol side effect was reported by a Physician from JAPAN on Feb 14, 2006. Female patient, 74 years of age, was diagnosed with atypical mycobacterial infection and was treated with Ethambutol. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anaemia, cataract , hemianopia heteronymous, optic neuropathy, vision blurred, visual acuity reduced, visual field defect. Ethambutol dosage: 750 MG, QD. During the same period patient was treated with ISONIAZID, RIFAMPICIN. Patient recovered.
