Erythromycin Side Effects Report #5832214-8
Erythromycin side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED KINGDOM on July 18, 2008. Female patient, 87 years of age, was diagnosed with skin ulcer and was treated with Erythromycin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: haematuria, thrombocytopenic purpura. Erythromycin dosage: 500 MG 3 TIMES DAILY. During the same period patient was treated with AMITRIPTLINE HYDROCHLORIDE, ARTHROTEC, NITROFURANTOIN, ACETYLSALICYLIC ACID SRT, BETAMETHASONE VALERATE, CODEINE PHOSPHATE AND ACETAMINOPHEN, FUROSEMIDE, LEVOTHYROXINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
