Erythrocin Side Effects Report #4754170-6
Erythrocin side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from JAPAN on Apr 25, 1996. Female patient, 76 years of age, was diagnosed with prophylaxis, diarrhoea and was treated with Erythrocin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood albumin decreased, clostridium colitis, diarrhoea, gastrointestinal disorder, multi-organ failure, sepsis , thrombocytopenia. Erythrocin dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with KANAMYCIN, CEFAMEZINE, LOPERAMIDE HYDROCHLORIDE, SOLMEDROL, URINASTATIN, VANCOMYCIN, PENTOCILLIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 03/09/1996.

Male patient, 55 years of age, was diagnosed with nocardiosis, renal transplant and was treated with Erythrocin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: multi-organ failure, pancreatitis acute, respiratory failure. Erythrocin dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with BACTA, TACROLIMUS, MYCOPHENOLATE MOFETIL, PREDNISONE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 11/26/2003.
