Ertapenem side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Apr 04, 2008. Male patient, 72 years of age, weighting 183.2 lb, was diagnosed with infection  and was treated with Ertapenem. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: dermatitis, hemiparesis, muscle twitching, oxygen saturation decreased, rash erythematous, rash pruritic, urticaria. Ertapenem dosage: unknown. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 67 years of age, weighting 198.4 lb, was diagnosed with diabetic foot infection and was treated with Ertapenem. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: hemiparesis, muscular weakness, psychotic disorder . Ertapenem dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with AMOXICILLIN AND CLAVULANATE POTASSIUM, CANDESARTAN CILEXETIL AND HYDROCHLOROTHIAZIDE, CANDESARTAN CILEXETIL AND HYDROCHLOROTHIAZIDE, CARVEDILOL, PROTHIPENDYL HYDROCHLORIDE, BITOLTEROL MESYLATE, FUSIDATE, PIPERACILLIN AND TAZOBACTAM. Patient recovered.
