Ertapenem side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Oct 15, 2008. Male patient, 79 years of age, weighting 158.7 lb, was diagnosed with osteomyelitis and was treated with Ertapenem. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: confusional state, hallucination, mental status changes, miosis. Ertapenem dosage: unknown. Patient recovered.

Male patient, 59 years of age, was diagnosed with osteomyelitis, depression , insomnia and was treated with Ertapenem. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: agitation, confusional state, delirium, hallucination. Ertapenem dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with TRAZODONE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
