Ertapenem and arthralgia Patient Reports February 13, 2012

Ertapenem Side Effects Report #6028585-2
Ertapenem side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Dec 31, 2008. Male patient, 72 years of age, weighting 178.6 lb, was diagnosed with abscess , infection  and was treated with Ertapenem. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: arthralgia, chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathy, muscular weakness, oedema peripheral, serum sickness. Ertapenem dosage: unknown. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
