Eptifibatide Side Effects Report #5309120-0
Eptifibatide side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on Apr 12, 2007. Male patient, 48 years of age, weighting 242.6 lb, was diagnosed with thrombosis and was treated with Eptifibatide. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: hypotension, pericardial effusion, right ventricular failure. Eptifibatide dosage: 51.36 MG; ONCE; INBO. During the same period patient was treated with CLOPIDOGREL, HEPARIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Male patient, 71 years of age, weighting 222.7 lb, was diagnosed with post procedural myocardial infarction, acute myocardial infarction and was treated with Eptifibatide. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain , acute myocardial infarction, cardio-respiratory arrest, electromechanical dissociation, haemorrhage, hypotension, ischaemia, no therapeutic response, papillary muscle disorder. Eptifibatide dosage: 18MG BOLUS, 16MG INFUSION IV. During the same period patient was treated with HEPARIN, LISINOPRIL, SIMVASTATIN, ASPIRIN, CLOPIDOGREL. Patient died on 11/28/2007.
