Eptifibatide and catheter site infection Patient Reports February 12, 2012

Eptifibatide Side Effects Report #5369860-4
Eptifibatide side effect was reported by a Physician from GERMANY on Nov 13, 2006. Male patient, 68 years of age, weighting 224.9 lb, was diagnosed with acute coronary syndrome, coronary artery disease  and was treated with Eptifibatide. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: catheter site infection, fat embolism, haemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, renal failure acute, staphylococcal infection . Eptifibatide dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with HEPARIN, CLOPIDOGREL, ACETYLSALICYLIC ACID, METOPROLOL SUCCINATE, RAMIPRIL, ATORVASTATIN CALCIUM, TORSEMIDE, HYDROCHLOROTHIAZIDE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: catheter site infection, fat embolism, haemodialysis, renal failure acute, staphylococcal infection . Eptifibatide dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with ACETYLSALICYLIC ACID, CLOPIDOGREL, METOPROLOL, RAMIPRIL, TORASEMIDE, ATORVASTATIN CALCIUM, HYDROCHLOROTHIAZIDE, CANDESARTAN CILEXETIL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
