Entacapone Side Effects Report #5635958-6
Entacapone side effect was reported by a Health Professional from UNITED STATES on Feb 14, 2008. Male patient, 77 years of age, weighting 209.4 lb, was diagnosed with parkinson's disease  and was treated with Entacapone. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: feeding tube complication, gastrostomy tube insertion, muscle rigidity, tracheostomy, tremor, visual field defect. Entacapone dosage: 200 MG, QID. During the same period patient was treated with CARBIDOPA, PRAMIPEXOLE DIHYDROCHLORIDE, NUTREN, PROSOURCE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: basal ganglia haemorrhage, muscle rigidity, visual field defect. Entacapone dosage: 200 MG QID. During the same period patient was treated with CARBIDOPA, PRAMIPEXOLE DIHYDROCHLORIDE, PROSOURCE, NUTREN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Entacapone side effect was reported by a Health Professional from POLAND on Sept 17, 2007. Male patient, 57 years of age, was diagnosed with parkinson's disease  and was treated with Entacapone. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cardiopulmonary failure, cardiovascular insufficiency, delusion, hallucination, muscle rigidity, psychotic disorder , shock. Entacapone dosage: 200 MG ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with LEVODOPA, TRIHEXYLPHENIDYL, ZOPICLONE, CLONAZEPAM, PERINDOPRIL ERBUMINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cardiopulmonary failure, delusion, dyspnoea, hallucination, hypotension, muscle rigidity, psychotic disorder . Entacapone dosage: 200 MG, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with LEVODOPA, TRIHEXYLPHENIDYL, ZOPICLONE, CLONAZEPAM, PERINDOPRIL ERBUMINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.
