Emtriva Side Effects Report #4888134-9
Emtriva side effect was reported by a Physician from FRANCE on Jan 12, 2006. Male patient, 44 years of age, was diagnosed with hiv infection , prophylaxis and was treated with Emtriva. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: aphasia , asthenia, demyelination, fatigue, peripheral paralysis. Emtriva dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with VIREAD, KALETRA, BACTRIM DS, TRIZIVIR. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Emtriva dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with VIREAD, KALETRA, TRIZIVIR, INVIRASE, NORVIR. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 02/09/2006.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: alpha 1 globulin abnormal, anaemia macrocytic, aphasia , asthenia, balance disorder, blood immunoglobulin g increased, bronchitis , c-reactive protein increased, cd4 lymphocytes increased. Emtriva dosage: 200 MG, 1 IN 1 D, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with VIREAD, KALETRA, TRIZIVIR, INVIRASE, NORVIR. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 02/09/2006.

Female patient, 39 years of age, weighting 93.70 lb, was diagnosed with hiv infection  and was treated with Emtriva. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acute prerenal failure, alanine aminotransferase increased, anaemia, aspartate aminotransferase increased, asthenia, blood calcium decreased, exfoliative rash, fanconi syndrome, gastroenteritis . Emtriva dosage: 200 MG QD ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with VIRAMUNE, VIDEX. Patient died on 05/21/2008.

Emtriva dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with TENOFOVIR DISOPROXIL FUMARATE, SUSTIVA, COTRIM D, ISONIAZID, RIFAMPICIN, PYRAZINAMIDE, ETHAMBUTOL HYDROCHLORIDE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
