Emtricitabine side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED STATES on Dec 26, 2006. Male patient, 41 years of age, weighting 121.7 lb, was diagnosed with hiv infection  and was treated with Emtricitabine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anaemia, ascites, hilar lymphadenopathy, malaria , pancytopenia, pulmonary tuberculosis. Emtricitabine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with ATAZANAVIR, DIDANOSINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
