Emtricitabine side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED STATES on Jan 10, 2006. Male patient, 46 years of age, weighting 172.6 lb, was diagnosed with hiv infection , rash  and was treated with Emtricitabine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: aids dementia complex, blood sodium decreased, confusional state, coordination abnormal, delirium, diarrhoea, hyponatraemia, oral intake reduced, pyrexia. Emtricitabine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with EFAVIRENZ, VICODIN, MIRTAZAPINE, CITALOPRAM, TRIMETHOPRIM, PENTAMIDINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
