Emtricitabine side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from on May 12, 2005. Female patient, 43 years of age, weighting 168.0 lb, was diagnosed with hiv infection  and was treated with Emtricitabine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: alanine aminotransferase increased, aspartate aminotransferase increased, bilirubin conjugated increased, blood alkaline phosphatase increased, blood bilirubin increased, eructation, fatigue, gamma-glutamyltransferase increased, hepatic steatosis. Emtricitabine dosage: 200 MG, 1 IN 1 D, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with LOPINAVIR, BACTRIM DS, LISINOPRIL, ASPIRIN, GLUCOPHAGE, TRICOR, NOVOLIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
