Elspar side effect was reported by a Physician from on Jan 20, 2005. Female patient, child 8 years of age, was diagnosed with acute lymphocytic leukaemia and was treated with Elspar. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cerebral thrombosis, encephalomalacia, hemiparesis, ileus, lethargy. Elspar dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with METHOTREXATE, PREDNISONE, VINCRISTINE SULPHATE. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: activated partial thromboplastin time prolonged, antithrombin iii decreased, encephalomalacia, fibrin degradation products increased, hyponatraemia, infarction, intracranial pressure increased, mucormycosis, neutropenia. Elspar dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with VINCRISTINE SULPHATE, PREDNISONE. Patient died.
