Efavirenz Side Effects Report #5651377-0
Efavirenz side effect was reported by a Health Professional from JAPAN on Feb 20, 2008. Male patient, 58 years of age, was diagnosed with hiv infection , cytomegalovirus infection  and was treated with Efavirenz. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: bronchopulmonary aspergillosis, cytomegalovirus chorioretinitis, hyperlipidaemia, hypokalaemia, lactic acidosis, nausea , pneumonia , restlessness. Efavirenz dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with VIDEX EC, ZERIT, EPIVIR, KALETRA, PREDONINE, DENOSINE, BAKTAR, ABACAVIR. Patient was hospitalized and became disabled. Patient died on 05/26/2004.
