Dofetilide Side Effects Report #5518414-5
Dofetilide side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Nov 13, 2007. Male patient, 72 years of age, weighting 229.3 lb, was diagnosed with atrial fibrillation , hyperlipidaemia and was treated with Dofetilide. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: atrial fibrillation , condition aggravated, electrocardiogram qt prolonged, liver function test abnormal. Dofetilide dosage: 0.125 MG, 0.25 MG BID PO. During the same period patient was treated with SIMVASTATIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: atrial fibrillation , brain hypoxia, cardiac arrest , coma, congestive cardiomyopathy, convulsion, electrocardiogram qt prolonged, loss of consciousness, pneumonia . Dofetilide dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with PHENPROCOUMON. Patient was hospitalized and became disabled. Patient recovered.

During the same period patient was treated with COREG, METOPROLOL TARTRATE, DILTIAZEM, CARDIZEM, QUINIDINE, CLINDAMYCIN. Patient recovered.
