Male patient, 59 years of age, weighting 145.1 lb, was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder and was treated with Divalproex. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: hyponatraemia, lethargy, mental status changes. Divalproex dosage: 500MG PO TID. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
