Diphenhydramine side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on May 01, 2007. Male patient, 22 years of age, was diagnosed with suicide attempt and was treated with Diphenhydramine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: completed suicide, grand mal convulsion, nodal rhythm. Diphenhydramine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with DRAMAMINE. Patient died.

Diphenhydramine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with DIMENHYDRINATE. Patient died.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: body temperature increased, bundle branch block right, electrocardiogram qt prolonged, grand mal convulsion, hypotension, intentional misuse, metabolic acidosis, mydriasis, pupillary reflex impaired. Diphenhydramine dosage: 40 (50 MG) TABLETS ONCE, ORAL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

During the same period patient was treated with ORPHENADRINE CITRATE, OXYCODONE, DIAZEPAM, TOLTERODINE, PAXIL, ATROPINE, BENZOPHENONE. Patient died.
