Diphenhydramine Side Effects Report #5444490-4
Diphenhydramine side effect was reported by a Health Professional from UNITED STATES on Aug 23, 2007. Female patient, child 8 years of age, was treated with Diphenhydramine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acidosis, autonomic nervous system imbalance, brain herniation, brain oedema, bronchopneumonia, catatonia, cerebellar infarction, cerebral ischaemia. Diphenhydramine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with HALOPERIDOL, RISPERIDONE, CHLORPROMAZINE, LORAZEPAM. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.
