Didanosine Side Effects Report #4649230-4
Didanosine side effect was reported by a Physician from on Apr 18, 2005. Male patient, 51 years of age, was diagnosed with hiv infection  and was treated with Didanosine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: ascites, chest pain , chills, cholestasis, decreased appetite, dyspnoea exertional, fanconi syndrome, hepatic failure, hepatic steatosis. Didanosine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with VIREAD, KALETRA, CARISOPRODOL, FENTANYL, FLUCONAZOLE, GLYBURIDE, PROMETHAZINE, RABEPRAZOLE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 47 years of age, was diagnosed with hiv infection  and was treated with Didanosine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, dyspnoea, hepatic failure, hepatic steatosis, lactic acidosis, pneumonia , shock. Didanosine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with NEVIRAPINE, BENZATROPINE, LOXAPINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: hepatic failure. Didanosine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with EFAVIRENZ, LAMIVUDINE, PEGINTERFERON ALFA, RIBAVIRIN. Patient died.
