Diastat side effect was reported by a Health Professional from UNITED STATES on Sept 02, 2008. Female patient, weighting 100.0 lb, was diagnosed with epilepsy
and was treated with Diastat. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acute respiratory failure, anxiety
, atelectasis, blood glucose increased, blood pressure decreased, convulsion, hypokalaemia, hypomagnesaemia. Diastat dosage: (10 MG PRN 10 MG PRN RECTAL). During the same period patient was treated with TEGRETOL, DEPAKOTE, LAMICTAL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
