Dextrose side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Sept 16, 2008. Male patient, 84 years of age, weighting 121.3 lb, was diagnosed with atrial fibrillation
and was treated with Dextrose. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: activated partial thromboplastin time prolonged, haemoglobin decreased, hypotension, lethargy, mental status changes, retroperitoneal haemorrhage. Dextrose dosage: unknown. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
