Dextrose side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Nov 03, 2008. Male patient, 64 years of age, weighting 252.0 lb, was diagnosed with atrial fibrillation What is  atrial fibrillation and was treated with Dextrose. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: activated partial thromboplastin time prolonged, blood pressure decreased, cardio-respiratory arrest, dizziness What is  dizziness, gastric haemorrhage, haemoglobin decreased, loss of consciousness, mental impairment, retroperitoneal haemorrhage. Dextrose dosage: 21.2 ML PER HOUR IV. During the same period patient was treated with ENOXAPARIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cardio-respiratory arrest, loss of consciousness. Dextrose dosage: unknown. Patient was hospitalized and became disabled. Patient recovered.
