Dextran side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Dec 13, 2006. Female patient, 77 years of age, weighting 121.3 lb, was diagnosed with carotid endarterectomy and was treated with Dextran. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood pressure immeasurable, electrocardiogram abnormal, electromechanical dissociation, metabolic acidosis, procedural complication, rash erythematous, renal failure. Dextran dosage: 500 ML INFUSION BAG IV DRIP. Patient was hospitalized and became disabled. Patient recovered.
