Dexmedetomidinee side effect was reported by a Health Professional from UNITED STATES on Oct 29, 2007. Female patient, 72 years of age, weighting 154.3 lb, was diagnosed with sedation and was treated with Dexmedetomidinee. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, myocardial infarction, pneumonia What is  pneumonia, respiratory failure. Dexmedetomidinee dosage: 8 - 14 ML PER HR, CONTINUOUS, INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with CEFTRIAXONE, DIGOXIN, FLUTICASONE, FUROSEMIDE, METHYLPREDNISOLONE, REGULAR INSULIN, PANTOPRAZOLE, LEVOFLOXACIN. Patient recovered.

Dexmedetomidinee dosage: ^6 VIALS^ IN 108ML SALINE, CONTINUOUS, INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with SALINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
