Dexmedetomidine side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on Dec 04, 2006. Female patient, 76 years of age, weighting 224.0 lb, was diagnosed with sedation and was treated with Dexmedetomidine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cardiac arrest , procedural hypotension, pulmonary oedema. Dexmedetomidine dosage: unknown. Patient died on 04/24/2006.

During the same period patient was treated with MIDAZOLAM HYDROCHLORIDE, FENTANYL. Patient died on 09/30/2006.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: bradycardia, cardiac arrest , haemorrhage intracranial, hydrocephalus , hypertension. Dexmedetomidine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with DECADRON, ZANTAC, ZINACEF, TYLENOL, VERSED, MORPHINE. Patient recovered.
