Desmopressin side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from CANADA on Aug 11, 2008. Male patient, 79 years of age, was diagnosed with diabetes insipidus  and was treated with Desmopressin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: aspiration, central pontine myelinolysis, cerebrovascular accident, depressed level of consciousness, hypernatraemia, hyponatraemia, urine output increased. Desmopressin dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with DESMOPRESSIN ACETATE, PREDNISONE, RANITIDINE, LEVOTHYROXINE, LORAZEPAM, FINASTERIDE, GALANTAMINE HYDROBROMIDE, INSULIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.
