Desipramine Side Effects Report #5679638-X
Desipramine side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from CANADA on Mar 20, 2008. Male patient, 45 years of age, was diagnosed with phantom pain and was treated with Desipramine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abnormal behaviour, abnormal sleep-related event, affective disorder, agitation, anger, anxiety , decreased appetite, decreased interest, depressed mood. Desipramine dosage: 75 MG; QD; PO. During the same period patient was treated with VENLAFAXINE, QUETIAPINE FUMARATE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Male patient, 50 years of age, weighting 165.0 lb, was diagnosed with depression  and was treated with Desipramine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: agitation, anger, fear, overdose. Desipramine dosage: 50 MG. During the same period patient was treated with WELLBUTRIN, LAMICTAL. Patient died on 08/10/2000.

Male patient, 45 years of age, was diagnosed with anxiety , depression  and was treated with Desipramine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: aggression, agitation, flight of ideas, hallucination, visual, homicidal ideation, irritability, mania, panic attack. Desipramine dosage: DOSE: 50MG AND 75MG ON ALTERNATIVE DAYS. During the same period patient was treated with VENLAFAXINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
