Desferal Side Effects Report #5706026-X
Desferal side effect was reported by a Physician from ISRAEL on Apr 06, 2008. Female patient, 58 years of age, weighting 127.9 lb, was diagnosed with thalassaemia beta and was treated with Desferal. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood creatinine increased, renal failure. Desferal dosage: 2 MG, QW5. Patient recovered.

Desferal side effect was reported by a Physician from JAPAN on Mar 17, 2009. Female patient, 70 years of age, was diagnosed with iron overload, myelodysplastic syndrome and was treated with Desferal. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cardiac failure, febrile neutropenia, hepatic failure, hyperthermia, pancytopenia, renal failure. Desferal dosage: 1000 MG. During the same period patient was treated with EXJADE, THYRADIN S, PRIMOBOLAN, TAKEPRON, AMINO ACIDS, DECADRON. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 12/23/2008.

During the same period patient was treated with THYRADIN S, PRIMOBOLAN, TAKEPRON, AMINO ACIDS, DECADRON. Patient died on 12/23/2008.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acute respiratory distress syndrome, blood creatinine increased, mechanical ventilation, oxygen saturation decreased, renal failure. Desferal dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with IBUPROFEN, KATADOLON. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acute respiratory distress syndrome, blood creatinine increased, haemorrhage, mechanical ventilation, oxygen saturation decreased, pneumothorax, renal failure, tracheostomy. Desferal dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with IBUPROFEN, KATADOLON. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 03/17/2008.
